Planet Propaganda | Senior Brand Strategist
This job post has expired
Planet Propaganda is seeking an obsessive builder of brands to simplify our clients' foundations so we can amplify them into a world-rumbling, passion-driven force.
Our Brand Strategist eats data with their morning muesli and drafts their lunch options into positioning matrices. You're excited by the chance to pair your business acumen with your creative edge to help brands define why they exist. And you know that it’s a combination of head and heart that drive brand success. Your friends may have accused you of overthinking everything, but you know this as your secret weapon for uncovering a brand's ultimate truth – the truth that transforms them from a brand that people buy, to a brand people believe in.
Required Skills and Competencies:
7 – 10 years of experience in an agency-side strategy department or brand strategy shop
Have experience managing small teams
Will bring a tool box of methodologies that you can flexibly adapt to complement (and fine-tune) our current approach
Are exceptional at finding, conducting, interpreting, and distilling research into simple and compelling insights that fuel great stories and superb presentations
Are boundlessly curious, and push yourself continually to ask better questions that will reveal the unexpected nuggets that lead to big results
Can explain creative ideas in terms of business problems to anyone from a CEO to a junior copywriter with unwavering clarity
Have a solid understanding of business metrics, and how customers' brand experiences drive them
Possess confidence and a POV, tempered with humility and a collaborative spirit
Know the relevant software well: Excel, Presentation (PowerPoint / Keynote), Word, Google Drive, Syndicated research (MRI / Simmons), Social Listening
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Health and Dental Insurance
Flex Spending Account
Paid Sick/Vacation Days
American Players Theatre / High Noon Saloon Access
Day off on your birthday
P.S. Do you currently live in a big city? A lot of us did too, so we understand the upsides, but the truth is Madison has many of the same perks: great restaurants, bars, art, music, and culture. We've got better beer than wherever you are currently too; trust us on that. Plus great schools, amazing parks, a platinum-level bike system, a world-renowned farmers’ market, etc., all without some of the headaches of a top-10 market.
